An update on fraud Mark Metternich’s LIE filled website

An update on Mark Metternich.

After we wrote an expose of fraud and LIAR Mark Metternich’s latest bullshit antics (available here), he changed a little bit of text on his site. Basically, he re-wrote the caption to the fake photo of his so-called “office”, changing it to “Panorama stitch of the home office with a 73.5 x 49 “Edge of Earth, Limited Edition, before shipping.” As if making it a “panorama” suddenly makes it all believable and real.

This is NOT Mark Metternich's Office. In his dreams (laughter)!

Of course, it’s still a fake photo. This is not Mark Metternich’s “office”, no more than “The Gang” (another fake photo) is a picture of his “employees”. There are two possibilities here:

1. Mark Metternich bought a photo on some microstock site and added all the bullshit you see. Come on. Curved prints? Who the heck is supposed to believe that crap? And besides, what real photographer is egotistical (and rich) enough to basically print out his entire portfolio and hang it in his office?

2. Mark Metternich rented a conference room, got some curvable dividers, and got to work. See those white things at the bottom of the “walls”? We think those are rolls of cotton sheet (or some other material), placed there to hide the fact that the dividers aren’t actually walls. As you can see, they extend all around the so-called “office”.

Most of the rest was added with Photoshop. None of the “prints” you see are real (this goes for the rest of his website, too). They are all Photoshopped in to the base “office” image. If this image was real, why isn’t Mark Metternich in it? Well, OK, maybe he’s not that good with Photoshop, yet.

These are NOT Mark Metternich's employees (he refers to them as "the gang"). Needless to say, he's never even met them, except perhaps on Istockphoto.com

This is NOT a real Mark Metternich print, which is a rare specimen that may never actually exist. It is nothing more than a sick Photoshop fantasy, helping to defraud the public.

Mark Metternich is nothing but a lying imbecile. He is a fraud, and deserves the harshest of punishments for the sea of LIES that can be found on his website. Call, write, or email to Clark County (Las Vegas) authorities and ask them to look into the numerous false and fraudulent practices of this LIAR. We are currently preparing a write-up for Nevada authorities, to be sent to them in the coming weeks. Do your part and ask the authorities to stop this pathetic fraud.

How do you spell fraud? M-E-T-T-E-R-N-I-C-H

Another look at Mark Metternich

Mark Metternich is an example of everything that wrong’s with photography today. Not that we’re implying he’s a photographer, of course. At most, he takes uninspired snapshots and proceeds to massacre them in Photoshop (OK, Adobe Camera Raw, as if that’s not Photoshop).

We’ve taken a quick look at this fraud before (available here) and Mark Metternich came away smelling like a sewage spill. The unending fountain of lies, deceptive statements, and fraudulent boasts on his website are an appalling contrast to the way an honest business should be run. Worse yet, his inane claim of being a Christian is a slap in the face of real believers.

So all of us (or most of us) know that Mark Metternich is a despicable fraud and a liar. Fair enough. Most of the time, when Loserphotographers.com writes about some idiot, they try to defend themselves or write a scathing reply (comment) on our blog. But not Mark Metternich. He silently continues to write gibberish and lies on his website, trying to make himself seem like A Real Pro Photographer.

His latest scam is what we are supposed to believe is a picture of his “office”. (here's a link). WOW! Talk about bullshit and fraud! This latest fantasy is a clear Photoshop fraud. Who has fancy curved walls (and curved prints on the wall, too, to boot (!)) in their “office? Not only that, but the shadows thrown by the fake prints are all wrong, and the so-called “print” of Punchbowl Falls (right-center) appears to be floating in mid-air. Even a casual examination of this so-called “photo” reveals all sorts of inconsistencies and rings bullshit alarms up and down the Pacific Coast. A closer, skeptical look unveils a torrent of fraudulent intent and a complete fabrication.

This is not Mark Metternich’s office. Mark Metternich likely lives with his parents in Las Vegas. He does not have a “gallery on the strip”, either, in spite of the fake, computer-generated images on his website. He will never have a gallery or an office. Heck, this loser can’t even display a photo of a real print. Everything you see on his website is fake and a concoction of microstock interior design photos and Mark Metternich jpeg’s inserted into the appropriate spots.

It’s time to put an end to unrepentant fraud of this nature. Call, email, or write the Clark County (Las Vegas) District Attorney’s office and ask him to look into Mark Metternich’s fraudulent operation. Among other things, point out that Mark Metternich has:

-falsely represented himself as being an experienced and renown landscape photographer.

-falsely represented himself as opening a photography gallery soon on the Las Vegas Strip.

-falsely represented himself as operating a Limited Liability Corporation for a period of time (“limited liability” might be a good idea for this fraud!)

-falsely represented himself as selling many “fine-art” limited edition prints to customers around the world.

-falsely represented concocted images on his website as photographs of actual prints hanging in “clients’” homes & offices.

-helped destroy the public’s confidence in the photography industry.

-falsely pretended that he has employees (the “gang”)

We’re sure there’s more that Mark Metternich has done. This bozo/fraud belongs behind bars. Period. He can do nothing but harm the photography industry with his endless lies, boasts, misrepresentations, and bullshit. Call on law enforcement to end this pathetic fraud’s long history of lying and destructive behavior.

Loserphotographers.com: A note about scum like Ryan Dyar and his buddies.

A note about scum like Ryan Dyar and his buddies.

Ryan Dyar and his loser buddies are peas in a pod. Despite the fact that his buddies look like run-of-the-mill losers and Ryan looks like a pot-smoking/drug sniffing loser, they are quite alike:

1.They pretend to be professional landscape photographers. In fact, Ryan insists on this “professional” designation, saying it every time he has a chance. Well, we suppose if he repeats a lie often enough….yeah, you know.

2.They all steal constantly from other photographers, most notably Marc Adamus. This is copyright violation and theft. To date, we have never received a response or comment in justification of their copyright violations. That’s kind of like stealing a car and having the luxury of not responding to the court’s summons.

3.They all form their bogus support groups on sites like Flickr, where they pat each other on the back and arrange to take each others’ workshops.

4.They all buy the “pro” membership on Flickr for the sole purpose of having the abbreviation “pro” next to their Flickr monikers. Yes, these losers are really that superficial and shallow.

5.They all either have excellent jobs or leech off of well-to-do parents (Ryan Dyar). Claims to the contrary are false. Of course Ryan Dyar is not going to admit that his parents pay all his bills. Who would?

6.They are all obsessed with fame and being recognized for their imagined photographic talent.

7.They all call each other some of the best photographers alive (a completely false claim) on bullshit sites like Flickr.

8. And most importantly of all, they are all the most craven of cowards, thieving losers who will probably never address a single point made in this post.

Loserphotographers: A response to a couple questions in a comment, PT2

A response to a couple questions in a comment, PT2

On our feature “An analysis of LOSER/LIAR Ryan Dyar’s fake interview in Aperture Academy, Part one” (available here), we got a comment from a user called “Corey”. It’s quite long, so we won’t reproduce it in full here. You can see it at the link above. However, he raises some points (many of which are designed to denigrate our work, actually) that we’d like to address:
Part 2 of 2.

“I’m also quite interested in the descriptions in this post [links to http://www.loserphotographers.com/examples_idiots.html]
Old clothes for an outdoor shoot, how very unprofessional. After all, suits are made for trudging through rivers, right? Not that any self respecting professional would own a suit, everyone would think that daddy bought it.

This LOSER didn’t need a suit, or old clothes. And the area where he was shooting was the dam of Trillium Lake at Mt Hood (a favorite of LOSERS & THUGS, since you only have to walk about twenty feet). There is certainly no “trudging through rivers” involved here. No, the LOSER shown at that link is simply a fat, unkempt SLOB. Art Wolfe certainly doesn’t wear ripped t-shirts on his shoot, but maybe they simply don’t make any outdoor clothing in the TRIPLE-X size this bozo would have required.

Regarding the “suit” comment: Actually, if Ryan Dyar wore a suit and looked like a decent human being with no tattoos, long hair, or stupid expressions, no one would suspect that his “daddy” had bought everything he owns. And yes, his daddy did buy everything he’s got. Don’t believe otherwise.

“I also don’t really understand how taking photographs makes someone a homosexual? I can’t say I’ve ever taken a photo and wanted to “rub one out” to another guy taking a photo. But that may be because we’re from different eras?”

This is a good one. At this point, when Corey made this comment, we’ve never actually talked about homosexuality and THUG LOSERS who love Marc Adamus, so he sort of pulled this one out of his ass, if you pardon the pun.

But anyway, it so happens that real men have hobbies enjoyed by other real men. Taking pictures isn’t one of those hobbies. In fact, when you combine the thousands in camera gear, the enormous expense and time involved in this obsession, you realize it isn’t a hobby at all. It’s a fake attempt to look like a real business. We call this Cargo Cult Photography (we’ll write about this soon).

Anyway, most of the LOSERS you will see on Flickr are effeminate losers, running around with their cameras, screaming “look at me, I’m an artist!”. It stands to reason that homosexuality may be more prevalent in this statistical group.  Of course, many times these morons are jerking off to the fame Marc Adamus enjoys, not necessarily Marc Adamus himself. After all, Marc is 5’6”, weights 150 pounds, and has a small penis. Not much to jerk off to there.

Poor Corey. He really tried his best to embarrass us, but failed miserably, and implicated himself in the process. Better luck next time, Corey.

Loserphotographers.com Mark Metternich commentary: A note about what could very well be the ultimate photography fraud: Mark Metternich

Loserphotographers.com Mark Metternich commentary

Mark Metternich is a fraud, a liar who claims to be a Christian to fool the gullible, and certainly a future occupant of the Big House. The lies and fraudulent statements found on his website easily eclipse the biggest whoppers Marc Adamus has ever said (we never thought we’d say that!)

The LIES and FRAUD begin with literally the first image you in the slideshow on the front page. There are no pictures of real prints on this website. All those prints, hanging in stunning high-end interiors, are fake. Period. Even the turds at Naturephotographers.net had a discussion about this and called Mark Metternich out (his reply: “it’s just marketing”).

Basically, he buys interior photos on Istockphoto.com, and inserts JPEGs of his own images into the frames on the walls. All the prints you see on his site are fake. They do not exist. Do not believe anything you see or read on this website.

This also applies to the image he calls “Roxies Tree”, in an arrangement that looks like a whole bunch of attractive young people are posing behind, and on the sides, of a humongous print of this image. Mark Metternich calls this group “the gang”, as if he knows them personally, or they work for him.

Of course, this is a completely fake composite, too. Mark Metternich has no employees, and never will. He may one day be a “state” or “federal” employee, in a chain gang, however. The sheer temerity of the bullshit found here, the utter lack of shame and remorse, calls for the stiffest of punishments for this reprobate. Avoid anything related to Mark Metternich.

Oh, and if this wasn’t enough, we’re pretty sure he lives with his aged parents in Las Vegas, which is why he moved from Oregon, where he used to inflict himself on everyone here.
Is it any surprise that a liar and moral bankrupt like Mark Metternich admires Marc Adamus exceedingly?

And did we mention that Mark Metternich employs an extraordinary amount of post-processing and Photoshop? In fact, he uses so much that the images actually end up looking bad. Mark Metternich, of course, simply claims that he actually has to desaturate the images occasionally [howls of laughter].

Is there any level this moron and fraud won’t stoop to? If Mark Metternich keeps digging in that hole of his, he’ll need to start using a drilling rig, or a backhoe, at the very least. Don’t worry; we’ll be talking about this bozo for a very long time, at least until he reports to sentencing.
