The hypocrisy of THUGS & MORONS who are not professional photographers, but are spoilsports simply looking to “get in” on what they believe is a huge opportunity for fame and recognition in the world of photography.

The hypocrisy of THUGS & MORONS who are not professional photographers, but are spoilsports simply looking to “get in” on what they believe is a huge opportunity for fame and recognition in the world of photography.

The same theme repeats itself over and over in the photography world. The THUGS & MORONS load their $5000 Jack Brauer/ Wide Range Galleries websites with loads of bullshit about how passionate they are, how wilderness is so important to them, and how they spend every waking moment thinking about nothing but photography (whatever).  You will notice that most of this crap starts sounding the same. Why? When there is no real passion for wilderness, photography, or art, these losers are guessing at what they think people want to read on their websites. They’re not very bright or imaginative, so when one liar (say, Marc Adamus), writes a juicy bit of bullshit on his website, every other loser out there takes notice, and copies it to their own sites.

But we digress. Back to that hypocrisy we were talking about. Anyway, we were talking about how these websites are filled with lies about passion, but when you get to the commerce part of it all, everything falls apart. A race to the bottom is evident here. Where the one part of their site waxes poetic about their “fierce passion” for photography, you notice that obviously the photography isn’t worth very much in their own opinion. Most of these losers can’t wait to basically give it away! We’ve seen losers offering 20x30’s (which is a pretty big print) for as low as $100. One loser we found actually boasted about taking a small loss on every print just so he could “get his stuff out there”. Maybe he’s counting on volume to make a profit (laughter). What we mean by this is that these turds aren’t passionate about photography or wilderness or nature or any of that stuff. They just want to be able to run to the nearest forum and boast about how they sold an image to Time Magazine for the kingly sum of 25 cents, or how they sold a print (limited edition, of course) for $50 and “took a loss” just to “get their stuff out there”. As if selling stuff at a loss will somehow, one day, lead to enormous success or public exposure.

So it’s funny how they all bullshit about how proud they are of their “photography” and how “passionate” they are, but the prices don’t reflect that at all. But that’s because there is no passion or pride at work here. It’s assembly line photography. Go to Art Wolfe or Galen Rowell’s site, see image you want to steal, spend a lot of money stealing it as perfectly as possible, then sell it for as little as possible. After all, if you tried selling it for a market price, buyers would much rather just purchase the image or print from the person who actually made that composition to begin with.

And after you sell it, go run to Flickr/Photo.net/photosig and scream about how you’ve “made it” and bask in the accolades from all the other losers on there. It’s that simple. We dare any thug reading this blog to provide a reasoned response to these charges. We guarantee that one won’t be forthcoming. Instead, threats will be made, seething rage will be on display, and vows of revenge will be made. Exactly what you’d expect when dealing with a bunch of thugs. Funny how that works.
